Mr Levers Mabaso

Mr Mabaso holds a B Proc degree, LLB (postgraduate) and LLM (Commercial Law). He acquired 28 years of experience at the Civil Aviation Branch of the DoT. Currently, he serves as a Chief Director: Aviation Safety, Security, Environment and Search & Rescue where he is responsible for development and implementation of policies within his portfolio and ensures facilitation of movement of aircraft passengers and cargo.

He is further responsible for incorporation of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standards and Recommended Practices into South African domestic law. He served as the permanent representative of SA in the ICAO and was a Director for Civil Aviation Safety and Security. Mr Mabaso is representative of the Department of Transport in the Council
