RENEWAL OF APPOINTMENT AS MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH AFRICAN COUNCIL FOR SPACE AFFAIRS (SACSA)
The Minister of Trade Industry and Competition has been advised that only eight previous members are available for a renewed period of appointment as Councillors for the South African Council for Space Affairs (SACSA), with effect from 1 November 2022 to 30 April 2023. He, accordingly then reappointed them in terms of section 6 of the Space Affairs Act No 84 of 1993 as amended, as a members of the Council

the dti is mandated to administer the Space Affairs Act No 84 of 1993, which serves as primary legislation guiding the work of the space activities in the country as well as mandating the hosting of the Space Secretariat for the said Council within the dti, which is one of key responsibilities of the unit.
The Secretariat perform the incidental work necessary for the performance of the functions of the Council and its Committees.
